The U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued its FINAL rule requiring the reporting of all-cash residential transactions involving legal entities and trusts. There are significant changes from the current GTOs:  no minimum dollar threshold; no geographic limitation, i.e., the rule applies nationwide!  The effective date of the rule is Dec. 1, 2025. This session will address the final rule, timeline, the impact it will have on title and settlement agents, and ALTA’s advocacy efforts.  Attend and find out if YOU have an obligation to report.
