The U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has issued its final rule requiring the reporting of all-cash residential real estate transactions involving legal entities and trusts—and this time, it’s nationwide. No minimum dollar thresholds. No geographic limitations.

Starting December 1, 2025, title and settlement professionals across the country will face new compliance responsibilities.
